Double-Edge Katana Imperial Series

The Samurai wore two swords (daisho). One was long; the other short. The long sword (daito - katana) was more than 24 inches. The short sword (shoto - wakizashi) was between 12 and 24 inches. The Samurai often gave names to their swords and believed it was the "soul" of their warriorship. This sword is a battle ready, high quality piece created by highly skilled craftsmen. Guard , collar, and pommel are expertly made and finely crafted from black iron. The blade collar is hand made out of polished brass and each hilt is covered in ray skin and tightly wrapped in the traditional style with black cord.

Fully sharped carbon steel 25" blade and heat treated to a spring temper. Blade surface is then polished by hand with a mirror polish. Overall 35".
